SAWA (n): derived from the Arabic word for 'together,' symbolizes unity and collective action.
One of many activities that feed into the pipeline of national advocacy activities is the SAWA Focus Groups. School leaders gather online biweekly for cross-regional knowledge exchange, mentorship and support based on shared experiences. Even more, they cultivate a sense of belonging, shared purpose and a commitment to mutual growth.
Along the way, school leaders are building capacity in advocacy-related skills and planning for discourse with think tanks and thought leaders to ultimately provide recommendations for structural reform.
